Max Connection Limit Exceeded - How do I limit connections to a server?

My news server allows only 3 connections. How do I limit
what Outlook Express uses?

OE only uses one connection anyway.

Oh. It's a problem with multiple users accessing it a the same time.
Server side problem.

I can't control that....

Thanks.

One physical connection. But it can perform up to three tasks over that
connection to speed up.
Some newsreaders have a setting for this, OE doesn't have one.

Hi Rufus,

Thanks for posting!

In Outlook Express, there is no such option to control this behavior.

Would you please let us know more about your server and why there is only 3
connections allowed?

Please feel free to let me know if you have any further concerns or
questions regarding the issue.

Hi Jeff,

It's a message from a free newsserver I subscribe to. They allow only
so much access for free, then encourage you to get the less constricted
pay service.

But the free service is enough for my use. It just gets clogged
occasionally
at peak times. This is the first time I've seen it happen, though.

i Rufus,

Thank you for your explanation.

I am afraid this kind of connection limitation is not to be overridden by
any configuration on the client side.

If this can be down, how does that newsgroup server promote its paid
service? :-)
