Dual TV card system: Which TV card is playing???

Is there a way to determine which tv card is playing on MCE2005?

Hauppauge PVR-250MCE and PVR150MCE

I just purchased the PVR-150MCE and would like to check the picture quality.
Worse comes to worse I will disconnect the PVR-250MCE but it seems to me
there has to be a more elegant way to do this

Recording two different shows at the same time confirms both cards work but
it would be nice if there was a simpler way. Ideally being able to switch
from one to the other to check quality would be nice. Something for MS to
consider putting in an update if there is to be one for MCE2005 or maybe a
third party program

One more data point: the recorder history will show "A" and "B" for recorded
shows. I'm not sure if you can assume wich is A and which is B, but you can
at least know of 2 shows were recorded using the same tuner.

I jusr recorded two shows at the same time. I had three loaded but MCE gave
me a conflict message which I took care of.

Where do you find recorder history?

This is from memory, but I think there's a 'History' button on "Recorded
TV".

Recorded TV> Scheduled>History

They like to keep that well hidden, don't they? ;-)

Disconnecting the RF during a recording will probably clue me in as to which
is A and B

I have 3 analog tuners installed. A PVR-250 and a PVR-500 dual.All
three have straight CATV input. Followed this thread at the Green
Button to setup more than 2 tuners. Each Tuner has a key in the
registry that is it's "name". Normal setup results in Tuner "A" and
"B". I have renamed all three of mine so I can tell which tuner
recorded which program. Also they are keys to set multiple tuner
hierarchy priorities for watching Live TV as well as recording. All
valid registry keys of the Stream Buffering Engine. SBE supports more
than 2 analog tuners it is just the MCE GUI setup wizard does not
allow this. Adding more tuners and using different input sources as
well as changing the label names of each tuners requires registry
edits. See this forum on the Green Button site. Look at this key:

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Media
Center\Service\Video\Tuners\ for your tuners. Each tuner has a key
called UserDefName. Look for the MCE default of Cable A and Cable B.
This is where you set the name you want MCE to use. I have mine as
PVR-250, PVR-500 1, and PVR-500 2. Helps when you get bad recording to
know which tuner caused it.
