Full-screen everything goes black

When Media Center opens and goes full-screen it all goes black, everything
disappears. I have to press the Start button the keyboard to get it to show
up and re-size it. No picture of anything at all in full-screen

Does your video card support overlays?

Did you recently change/upgrade your video driver. This sounds like a
driver issue. Try re-installing your video driver or rolling back to a
previous version.

Hmm, and Windows Update didn't do anything on you? Well, drivers don't
install in Express mode so I guess not. :)

But I would try re-installing your video driver anyway, sometimes they just
get corrupted.

Full-screen everything goes black

I have the exact same problem listed in the opening message.
I am running a LCD tv with DVI input.
The recomemended resolution on this LCD tv is 1280x720 for pc.
I can set my graphics to 1280x720, everything on the computer runs great
(looks good and no flicker at all).
As soon as I start MCE, I get the problem mentioned above.
BUT, if I change my resolution to 800x600, MCE works correctly (allong with
everything else).
I have:
MSI 6600GT Nvidia GeForce 6 graphics card (PCI Express).
I have updated the video driver to 77.79 (from Nvidia).
I actually have installed the update, then reinstalled the update again to
make sure it installed correctly.
My bios is up todate (Lanparty DFI motherboard).
I am up to date with all the Microsoft updates.
Thanks for any help,
Dave

Quick additional comment.
Starting in 800x600, I did the configuration for the monitor (changed
1280x720) inside of MCE.
As soon as the settings were adjusted, the problem started up.
I am also running the latest Nvidia PureVideo Decoder, Version: 1.02-185

Make sure you are using the correct refresh rate for your LCD.. I had the
problem and had to reduce my refresh rate which meant unchecking the box
"hide modes monitor cannot display" then choosing the right resolution and
refresh rate that I got from my tv manual.
