I don't have a soultion, but I use a work-around for the same problem on my
HP laptop. While I have MC opened on my computer display only, I "click"
the restore down button (upper right corner of screen). Once MC is in this
reduced mode you can toggle it over to the TV screen. At this point you can
drag the reduced MC box (lower right hand corner of the box) to full screen
size and it works just fine until you exit. It's a pain in the ass
but.............
If you ever figure out the true problem, please post the fix. thanks.

I assume you've installed the latest drivers for your video card?

or further information:

I went to Intel's website to download the updated drivers but it errored out
and stated to visit the computer manufacturer's website for updated drivers.
I went to hp's website, downloaded and received an error. I reported the
error to their support team, who got back to me with a link to download the
updated drivers, which was actually the same version drivers that I already
had installed. I have replied back and am waiting patiently, and anxiously,
to see what they say next.
