Windows 2003 Server Functional levels vs. Windows.NET Server Functional levels

Windows 2003 Server Functional levels vs. Windows.NET Server Functional levels

The Technet CD is full of references to Windows.NET functional levels,
yet a search on MS website reveals only one hit! I thought I
understood domain and forest functional levels in Windows 2003 Server
and I thought I understood what .NET was, but I am having a hard time
correlating Windows.NET Server functional levels and Windows 2003
Server functional levels - Are these the same thing? Or am I missing
something here?

I would very much appreciate some insights.

Michael.

.Net Server was renamed to Windows Server 2003 before the product was
released. The references to .NET server in TechNet are therefore out of
date. They are the same thing with different names.

In article < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >,
XXXX@XXXXX.COM says...
This is a case of the online content not being updated to read "Windows
Server 2003" instead of ".NET". ".NET" was one of the beta names for
Windows Server 2003.
