Enterprise Certificate Authority migration

Enterprise Certificate Authority migration

Post by Q2hhZCBBdX » Wed, 01 Aug 2007 02:58:07

Is there any possible way to migrate certificates issued by ca.domain1.com to
ca1.domain2.com?

I am looking for a way to migrate my Enterprise certificate authority from
one domain to another, I believe this is not possible however I would like to
ask the group and see if there is a way to do this that I have not researched
yet.

Thank you for your time,

Chad Austin

Hello Austin,

Thank you for using newsgroup!

Based on my knowledge, you may refer to the following articles to migrate
Certificate Authority in the same domain:
298138: How to move a certification authority to another server
http://www.yqcomputer.com/

555012: HOW TO: Move a certificate authority to a new server running on a
domain controller
http://www.yqcomputer.com/

Due to Certificate Authority is integrated in Active Directory, there is no
way to migrate Certificate Authority between two different domains.

Thanks & Regards,

Ken Zhao
