software....)

(thrid party apps)
netserver lc2000 dual p3 1 1/5 gig ram
raid 5 15k hd

only 3 mail boxes. yeah, I know big system for 3 users :)

thanks in advance

Are you using the POP3 connector?

yeah I had this problem, SBS std, Trend SMB and Exchange using POP
connector.

It started (I think) when one of the Servers RAM Dimms died. Mails then
were getting stuck...I troublehooted it down the the Scanmail component
of Trend and turned it off (I guessed it was due to low RAM - 256MB)
Otherwise, the only thing to clear the queue was to reboot the server

Anyway, left trend off for a week and everything was sweet. When the
Dell man came to replace the RAM (turned the server off by holding the
power button in by the way) I turned scanmail back on and everything was
fine.

So in my case I felt it was due to low system resources... maybe check
your RAM (memtest86.com) swap file, that sorta thing. Do an update of
all the trend engines and definitions too - cant hurt

I'm also having the same problem. Although I'm using SMTP rather than POP3.
Again the only way to clear the problem seems to be a server reboot, then
everything appears OK for a few hours. The only thing that has changed
recently is that I enabled the attachment blocking on Exchange to delete
videos attached to emails automatically. Even after disabling this the
problem still occurs.
