The Blackberry 7520 phone drowned over the weekend and needs to be replaced.

We need access to:
Mobile phone / PDA features
Company email including attachments
Synchronize the Calendar / Contacts
Direct Connect feature of Nextel Service is a must.

We're running SBS2K3 Prem. Edition
I just don't think there is a Smart Phone out there like the Audiovox or
Siemens that has the direct connect feature. The entire company (over 75
phones) is on Nextel and uses the Direct Connect almost exclusively.

Anybody have some ideas?

What are you refering to as the direct connect feature? The Audiovox
and the seiemens phones have many ways of connecting. Or any of the
other windows mobile phones have great features.

Give up the 'Crack'berry... if you are wanting direct push technology
that is available in Mobile 5 and the BTC Angels -- ie the audiovox and
semiems and others can be upgraded to mobile 5.

what's the difference between the 2003 that is on my audiovox and mobile 5?

Any benefits to changing to 5? I've heard this before, but not the "why's".

thanks.

Hi,

As far as I'm aware, the full push technology side of things requires
Windows Mobile 5 Messaging and Security Feature Pack and Exchange Server
2003 SP2 [scheduled for 2nd half of 2005] - details here...

Hope that helps,
