Moving User A's E-Mail to User B's in Exchange2003

Post by Q2Fyb » Fri, 02 Feb 2007 20:24:01

I'm running SBS2003 RC2 Exchange2003, how do I move User A's Outlook e-mail
contents to User B's?

Everything else relating to User A is done via distribution groups so their
are no problems there. It's just all the old contents of User A's inbox I
need.

I don't want to rename User A to User B. And I want to avoid have to export
a .PST from User A's Outlook.

There must be a magic Exchange button to make this change painless?

Thanks all.

Hi Carl,
Assuming you have permissions to logon to both mailboxes, open both in your
outlook profile and simply drag the emails etc from UserA's mailbox to
UserB's mailbox. To add the mailboxes to your profile in Outlook 2003, go to
Tools menu>>Email Accounts>>View or Change Existing>>Highlight Exchange and
click Change, then on the next screen click More Settings. In the new
window that opens on the Advanced Tab you can add more mailboxes to your
profile. When you're finished, return to this screen to remove those
mailboxes. If you plan on archiving the original mailbox, copy the items
rather than moving them.
