Running LOGIN scripts when using VPN connection

Post by TWFrb3 » Thu, 09 Jun 2005 00:52:02

Could someone please clarify if - and when - I can get a users login scripts
which have been set up with drive mappings, etc. to run when they connect to
the SBS 2003 server via VPN connection?

Thank you.

you dont, at least not in the normal sense - they are already logged in when
they connect to the vpn, logon scripts only action at a logon stage - your
vpn users wont be connected to the server at this stage

you can put a copy og logon script onto the users desktop and run after vpn
connection has been established

Hi Makor,

Only if they check the 'use dialup' box at the login script when they have
booted their computer.

I see the login scripts running at a few of my accounts that use the
vpn to log in. When you set up the vpn connection I think I clicked on
the box for domain log in.

Thanks I will check out the settings again.
My slant was whether I had to change any GPOs to get the scripts to run!

I found that I get the drive mappings only if I use the FQDN of the server in
the drive mappings.
