Appearance of buttons icons changed

Post by Q2hpbm9va » Mon, 25 Dec 2006 02:08:00

My computer has been running fine for three years. A week ago, it went
through a strange boot-up process that involved several screens of deleting,
restoring, and repairing multiple files. It finished booting up fine, and
has since booted up without any problems. Since that event, though, all of
my minimize, maximize, close, arrow, and radio buttons have different icons.
For example, the radio buttons have some sort of unreadable icon instead of
the usual black "dot" (if selected). The file "close" buttons have a square
instead of an X.
Any ideas how to change them back?

Did you delete the marlett.ttf font?

Replied to [Chinook]s message :

Give more info of the screen. Look in Event Viewer (Start-Run-eventvwr).

If it is not present in \Windows\Fonts then copy it to Fonts folder...

Ayush......Copied marlett from my "old hard drive" Windows/Font folder to my
current Windows/Font folder. Re-start?
