Found "Engine" in Add/Remove programs

Post by Tony Girge » Sun, 10 Feb 2008 07:40:33

Hello.

I have an XP Pro, SP2 Dell.

In looking at the Add/Remove programs in Control Panel, i found an entry
called "Engine". That's all it said. There was no other information.

Does anybody know what that could be?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks,
Tony

Hi Tony,

Click Start, Run and type the following command:

reg export "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall" "%userprofile%\desktop\proglist.txt"

(This is a single-line command, no line wrapping.)

Press ENTER.

Open the file named "proglist.txt" in your Desktop and search for the string "ENGINE". You'll find some hints there.
