Obtaining a Windows XP SP2 Installation CD for Original XP Owners

I bought my copy of Windows XP on the first day it was released. Some
applications such as Apple's Boot Camp (Apple Dual Boot) require that you
have an original Windows XP SP2 Installation CD.

How can a Windows XP owner obtain a installation CD of the latest version of
Windows XP SP2? (entire Windows, not just SP2)

Not too long ago, you use to be able to request a free copy of
SP2 from Microsofts "Windowsupdate" site. (Only cost was postage)
Then it was just a matter of installing that. Then all you had to do
is go online and download all the critical updates to that.
I'm only familiar with OEM versions of XP that already have SP2
slipstreamed into them.

Good Luck,

What you can do is make a slipstream copy using your original disk as the
primary source and download the SP2 files from Msoft. There is slipstreaming
software available which makes the job easier for you.

You still have to und all the updates anyway so you can download them and
also put them in a separate directory on the final disk.

If you have a CD/DVD burner and a full copy of SP2 then you can make a
new installation CD with SP2 integrated into it.
