Also, the error report generated to MS offers Driver Error but with no

Event Log /System - Need help to translate

Hi, well the first one about being unable to synchronise time is fairly
normal. The second is there because your motherboard isn't compatible with
XP, you might find a updated bios on the manufactures website. The third one
I can't help you with but I suggest you search on google, there are quite a
few references to the event id there.....

hanks for the help Chris. I upated the BIOS to the latest available, but
I'm still getting that first error message. With regard to 3rd [error 1003]
I'm still looking. What I've found so far is a bit beyond me :-)
Thanks again

i, that's quite an old board by today's standards, the only way to get rid
of the error message would be to upgrade to a more recent one. However I
wouldn't think that the ACPI error was causing your rebooting. A way to stop
that is to go into system properties by 'right clicking' my computer, 'left
click' properties. Then go to advanced, click on 'startup and recovery' and
untick the box in system failure that says ' automatically restart'. Then
when you PC has this problem it should go to a blue screen, what's in there
might give an indication to the problem. Post up here what you see and
hopefully we can help you further.....
