"Find Files and Folders" function not finding files

Post by TWFyayBUL » Sun, 19 Mar 2006 03:36:29

I use Windows XP with Service Pack 2 and when I open the Start Menu and go to
Search and highlight Find files and Folders, and I type the name of the file
that

I try to search for on my computer and click Search, I get a popup window
that says, "Unexpected error. Action could not be completed."

If anyone could help me resolve this problem, I would appreciate any help.
Thanks.

Wesley-

I was about to post that link when I realized that it was for "locating a
computer on the network using the Windows XP Search companion." I think Mark
was searching for local files.

Actually, that script file may contain the same registry fix. My bad.
