Password protected sharing

I have a small business network with 8 computers, a router and no server.
3 of them run Windows 98 SE, and the rest Win XP Pro.
In Windows 98 SE I have the possibility of configuring read/full-access
protection for network shared folders & files, wich helps some of my
employess in protecting personal and business files of un-wanted access from
other employess.
My Q is... How can I do the same thing (or at least something close to it)
in Windows XP? How can I protect network shared drives, folders and files by
password (or something else) in Windows XP?
Looking forward for receiving some help from u! Razvan, Romania

Greetings Romania,

Windows XP doesn't use password for shared disks or folders. Since you are
running Windows XP Pro, you can disable Simple File Sharing and define users
and their allowed mode. Details here.
