OEM Serial No's & Changing them

First of all, you do not have a "corporate license" for Windows XP.
You have a "volume license". In order to use a volume license with
sysprep, you must create your sysprep image using a Windows XP
volume license installation CD. Volume licenses cannot be used
with OEM versions of Windows XP.

| We are deploying XP Pro for a number of our users. We have
| a select agreement so have a corporate licence for XP. The
| machines we buy have an OEM version of XP on, however it
| is useful to build these machines from the OEM version as
| all the correct drivers get installed during the setup.
| After this is complete we would like to sysprep the
| machines and use our select serial no. for deployment. We
| are not able to change the OEM key using the msoobe.exe.
| Anyone know if this is possible, or will we have to build
| our images from scratch and grab the drivers etc from the
| support cd's that come with the hardware.
