RDP and Standby

RDP and Standby

Post by Bruce » Sun, 15 Mar 2009 07:53:11

I am running 32 bit XP SP2 on a Dell Optiplex 745. I just updated the
BIOS today but am still having a vexing problem trying to connect to
it via RDP when it is in standby. I am able to get the Dell to wake
up enough to give me a login screen via RDP but as soon as I enter
domain user id and password and click Ok I get a "Remote desktop
session has ended." dialog which I cannot get past. If I try to log
in directly (i.e. not using RDP) after this the machine appears to be
'awake' but the monitor is blank and seemingly unresponsive to mouse
or keyboard and I am forced to power the machine off and back on to
log in. I've seen some old references to similar problems in
newsgroups but no solid solutions. Any suggestions? All help
appreciated. Thanks!

Let me tell you your TCP/IP is not working properly you need to change the
TCP/IP setting by using the admin account after done all that stuff it would
be work fine .......
