I'm not sure whether this is the right newsgroup to post this question, so I
apologise if that's the case.
I'm trying to work out how to add a custom menu option in Internet Explorer
(6.0). I have found the following article
( http://www.yqcomputer.com/ ) which
almost works. I am able to add a menu option to only the Tools or Help menus.
I want to add a option to the File menu.
Here's the export of my registry key;
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
As you can see, I specify the value of MenuCustomize as "file" - I've tried
"File" as well - but it just appears in the Tools menu.
Other programs appear to be able to add to the File menu, e.g. Yahoo
Messenger, Visual Studio .NET, but I can't find how. So maybe I'm going about
this the wrong way?
Can someone please tell me why I can't get my option to appear in the File
menu, and how I can get it to work?
Many thanks in advance,
