If I change to location on the screen of the standard and formatting
toolbars, i.e. from 1long toolbar to 2, 1 under the other, where is this
setting change stored.

Thanks

G'day "briant" < XXXX@XXXXX.COM >,

in the doc / template that is the focus of the customization context -
also set from Save In from the Commands tab of the customize dialog.

Hi Steve, thanks for info but this is what I really mean or want. If I
change the layout or position of the toolbars. Next time Word is opened the
changes are remembered. Where are these changes saved, the registry ? or
where ?

If you haven't changed the customization context, they are saved in
Normal.dot. If you are prompted to save Normal.dot when you close Word, be
sure to answer yes.
