Word 2000: Consecutively Number every other page?

Post by rpicken » Wed, 07 Jan 2004 02:04:40

I have a long (1000+pgs) document to compose, which will consist of
front and back "pages" - which, when printed, will be flash cards;
however, I only want to number the front pages, so that each front page
will be consecutively numbered. Is there a simple way to do this
without creating a section break for each card? Thanks so much in
advance for any help!!

Hi R Pickens

Use an Odd Page Header with the following field construction in it where you
want the numbers to appear:

{ = ( { PAGE } + 1 ) / 2 }

You must use Ctrl + F9 to insert each pair of field delimiters { } and use
Alt + F9 to toggle off the field codes.

Please post any further questions or followup to the newsgroups for the

directly to me will only be answered on a paid consulting basis.
Hope this helps
