Word 2000 fonts

I run MS Word 2000 that is part of the MS Works suite that
came with the PC I bought a few years back. Earlier in the
year I needed a repair to the hard drive & on the PC's
return everything is OK except there are some fonts
missing that were there before, one of them I remember
was 'Christmas xxxx' or words to that effect. I camnot
remember the others but there are less than there were
originally. What should I do to obtain the missing fonts?

Hi, David,

First, look in the folder c:\windows\fonts (or c:\winnt\fonts, depending on
your version of Windows) to make sure the font files are there. If the fonts
you expected aren't there, Word won't have them either.

If they are there but don't show up in Word, see
troubleshooting steps.

Word and Works aren't the only programs that install fonts. Check all your
other software to see if they include the fonts you're looking for. For
example, do you have software for printing greeting cards? Software that
came with your printer?

Finally, look on the Internet. Use Google or Yahoo or any other search
engine -- look for "free fonts" plus any terms you can think of that
describe the missing fonts. You'll find literally thousands of them.

To start at the end, I think it very likely that seasonal fonts would be
ones you downloaded from the Internet. For example, Scriptorium
