POP3 Users Getting Login Prompts After Password Change

All of a sudden, our POP3 users are encountering the following problem.
After being prompted to change their network password, that user can no
longer get email; it prompts for username and password and never accepts new
password. If you change the password back to what it was previously, it
works again. This does not affect our Corporate/Workgroup users. Help!
