Hi,

This is to announce TAIParse, a freeware standalone POS tagger beta,
currently at 93% accuracy on internal blind testing. Download at

http://www.yqcomputer.com/

Free and clear! NO forms to fill, web handshakes, signups, etc.

Why is it the best ever at "only" 93% accuracy? Unlike standard POS
taggers, TAIParse is built manually and uses general rules, patterns,
and methods as far as possible. Performs shallow parsing and chunking
in addition to POS tagging. Easily extended and enhanced using
VisualText.

As with all VisualText-built multi-pass analyzers, building a single
parse tree per text yields a fast analyzer. Input is a file of
sentences. One output is a file of Penn Treebank-style tags with
noun-phrase bracketing.

TAIParse is a general analyzer with tags as one byproduct. A parse
tree output is produced as well.
