designing a design plan

designing a design plan

This is my first mail to this group.
I am a Masters student. I am currently working on a community project
for our City. For the city we are supposed to bring up a design plan
for e-democracy. Could any one tell me how to design a design plan for
e-democracy for the city.
We were able to gather points for predispositions, research, insights.
But till now we are not able to come forward with a good concept. Could
anyone help me in the design process. Also could anyone differenciate
E-government and E-democracy. Is there any papers or website related to
this. Please do forward me the link. I would really appreciate it.

Thanks,
Benc

designing a design plan

This sounds to me like a proposal designed around a buzzword.

I suggest you go back to basics, i.e., a democracy is one form of
government. The important question to ask is: what is the end goal?
It's not to produce a plan. If there is any benefit it should enrich
peoples lives in some way. What are those goals? How do you achieve
them realistically? Leave the e-labels to others.

No. 'Democracy' clearly communication between people.
Instead of having to have your jet and private train to
'move the message', the ability to move it by TV, had a massive
effect on e-democracy. So now with the inet, the ability to
not only broadcast out to the masses, but the ability of the
masses to easily feedback, can have significant consequences.

Also e-communication's much lower cost than 'moving bodies',
can level society.
