I have a weird Apache server problem. If the server is started
*without* an existing httpd.pid file, the server runs away with 100%
cpu! As a temporary hack I have apachectl create a "fake" httpd.pid
file before starting the server.
With this file in place the server starts normally. Everything else
seems fine once the server starts!
Environment: cygwin on XP, apache 2.0.47 w/ default configure options.
Anyone seen this before??! I can't figure out why without an existing
httpd.pid file all the httpd processes go nuts.
Thanks for any help,
