Description: TEKsystems is currently seeking .NET Developers for perm positions at a client site in Fort Washington, PA. There are 3 levels: Senior Software Engineer (Sr. level) The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of professional software development experience using Microsoft technologies, including VB6, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2000. Additional experience with XML and AJAX is desirable. A complete understanding of n-tier application development is a must. Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. A Senior Software Engineer candidate should have management experience and be able to oversee employees reporting directly to him or her. A successful candidate will also exhibit a strong to desire to learn and understand all aspects of the companys operations and be able to interact directly with other departments. Experience in the Financial Services or Insurance industries is a plus. Key job responsibilities include: - Project and personnel management. - Providing Technical guidance to internal business partners on aspects of security, performance, and scalability. - Working directly with other members of staff to understand business needs and designing technology solutions to meet them. - Development and implementation of proprietary software tools for internal use. - Enhancement and maintenance of existing proprietary software. - Creation and maintenance of periodic and ad-hoc internal reports. _________________________________________________________ Software Engineer (Mid Level) The ideal candidate will have 3-7 years of professional software development experience using Microsoft technologies, including VB6, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Visual Studio 2005 and SQL Server 2000.
