When I create an application and executable, it says :

Unable to find unknown PASSWORD

When I press LOCATE, it gives me the prg's in that directory. I don't have
a password program, nor do I call a password program. I have a PASSWORD.DBF
that I use.

Does anyone know why this is happening?

The executable runs fine when I ignore the error.

Thanks for any help

Hi Devora,

This doesn't give us very much to go on. Is there a Password variable in
your code somewhere? Do you have the Password table referenced somewhere in
your app but the table has moved and is not in the application's path? Is it
perhaps in the data environment of your form?

I am so embarrassed. When I looked over my code again, I realized that
instead of writing password.field, I wrote password(field).
Fixed it and problem went away (big surprise)

Sorry for the bother. I'm so glad you people are there and are willing to
help. I am just getting into OOP, as well as forms, and would be getting
basically nowhere without a support system.
Thanks again, and apologies.

Don't think for a minute the very same thing hasn't happened to each and
every one of us. <g>
