FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Spectrum Announces Integration With Microsoft Visual Studio .NET and the
open source Eclipse platform.

SpectrumSCM, the first truly integrated, full-featured, platform
independent SCM tool, provides advanced SCM capabilities to developers
working with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET and the Eclipse Platform.

Atlanta - November 1st, 2003: Atlanta-based Spectrum Software, Inc., a
systems designer and developer of software productivity tools, announced
today, here at Bangalore IT.com 2003, Asia's largest annual Information and
Communications Technology event, the immediate availability of its
integration between SpectrumSCM, its enterprise source configuration
management (SCM) solution, and two extremely popular integrated development
environments, Microsoft Visual Studio .NET and the open source Eclipse
platform.

The integration of SpectrumSCM with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET gives
developers using Microsoft Visual Studio .NET programming languages,
including Microsoft Visual Basic .NET, Microsoft Visual C# .NET, Microsoft
Visual C++ .NET, and Microsoft Visual ASP .NET direct access to advanced
software configuration management features including check-in/check-out,
visual diff/merge, pattern based branching,, and most importantly, direct
integration with SpectrumSCM's issue management functionality, all from
within the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET environment. SpectrumSCM's direct
integration with the Microsoft SCCI also allows SpectrumSCM to seamlessly
integrate with other IDEs that support the MS-SCCI standard. This includes
Microsoft Visual Studio 6.0 applications like Visual C++, Visual Basic and
Visual Interdev, IBM's Visual Age for Java, Borland's CodeWright and other
SCCI compliant IDEs.

"SpectrumSCM's direct support for issue tracking and project/workflow
management will allow Microsoft Visual Studio .NET development teams to
build higher quality and more reliable .NET applications without having to
integrate their development environments with other external issue tracking
or project management tools." said William Brown, Chief Architect at
Spectrum Software, Inc.

The integration of SpectrumSCM with the open source Eclipse platform brings
advanced software configuration management features not only to the Eclipse
IDE, but also to all applications and plugins that are built for or on top
of the Eclipse platform. "The integration of SpectrumSCM and the Eclipse
platform provides current Eclipse users with powerful version control, issue
tracking and process management features. It also provides direct SCM
integration for new development environments that are based on the Eclipse
platform itself, like IBM's Websphere Studio Application Developer." added
Adrian Raybould, Director of Software Development at Spectrum Software.

"We are delighted to see the release of the integration between SpectrumSCM
and these popular integrated development environments. The ability to access
all of the powerful elements of SpectrumSCM from within the native
development environment is a huge plus for developers and development
managers alike. The integration with Visual Studio .NET, other SCCI
compliant IDEs and the Eclipse platform will not only help increase
developer productivity but will also promote proper process enforcement
through issue and workflow management." said Sarathi Srinivasan, President
and CEO of the Atlanta-based Spectrum So
