Toshiba M50-161 love it, but one thing I cannot understand!!!

Fairly rceently bought and now working very well. One thing I cannot
grasp.I want to use , I want to do backups onto CDR/CDRW discs.

I know if I go to MY COMPUTER/RIGHT CLICK on the drive I get an option
that switches the machine from DVD enabled to 'regular CD'.

I find there seem to be problems. I guess I have missed something.

When I try to open a disk off another machine it won't read it. When I
try to back up data it seems to take a while. Rather than the machine
is faulty, I reckon it is me.

As a passing thought, I want to know whether other read/write software
would do a better job or would it cause conflicts/not work. If I tried
that would the install be reversible?

Excuse the rocky explanation.... best I can do.

1. ASUS WL-161 Pen type Wireless Card (Cannot connect to Internet and get IP address)

2. If it's not one thing it's another - SQL Mail

I set up SQL 2000 SP3 SQL Mail under one of my MAPI Profiles in Outlook 2003 so that I can send an email from an extended stored procedure in SQL. This works fine ONLY when my Outlook 2003 is open with that profile.

The message is made by SQL and plops in my Inbox. Yes you heard that right. My Inbox. After a few seconds the e-mail message will be sent. But that is really no good. I need the message sent when it is made. Not after I open Outlook 2003 using that profile.

Is there any way I can convince Outlook 2003 to send the message once this message gets inside the Inbox? I am assuming the Inbox exists even though Outlook 2003 has not started. Any ideas?
