Junk score always 0 since upgrading from beta to non-beta 6.0

hi

i was running beta 20 for a week or more and loving it. junk filtering
worked wonders in both pop and imap. then i upgraded to non-beta
6.0.0.22 and since then junk has not cought one single message. I am
in paid mode, and i can manually junk messages, but nothing is cought.
is this a training issue plain and simple? I dont think so since at
least many hundreds of very obvious junk messages have landed in my
various mail boxes since upgrading, and still not a single message
cought.

thanks for any advice on "resetting" junk score table or something of
that kind,
peter

Interesting. I don't have a solution for you but, just to mention, when
I tried a complete uninstall and reinstall, that happened to me too. I
ended up returning to my backed up version on which I'd installed the
final over the beta.

Did you uninstall before installing? It may well be totally unrelated
but ...

No, I did not uninstall before installing the non-beta "on top"

It doesn't sound like a training issue unless you've done something
like unjunk all your junked messages at some point. It sounds like
Eudora isn't seeing the anti-spam plugins and/or the static junk word
file. Check to make sure the files are in the appropriate location. IIRC,
SpamWatch.dll, SpamHeaders.dll and StaticJunkDB.txt all go in the plugins
subdirectory of your Eudora program directory while UserJunkDB.txt goes in
the plugins subdirectory of your data directory. (And if you find
Spamsimple.dll there you can get rid of it. That's leftover from before
the file was renamed in an earlier beta version.)

Just the obvious. Have you checked "automatically place junk in junk
mailbox"? Have you changed the default score of 50?

Everything was right where it should. Only found the spamsimple.dll
that you mention. after removing it, junk score calculations seems to
be working again. thanks!

ps. only odd thing is that the StaticJunkDB.txt file has date of first
beta, sometime in June this year. whilst the rest of the files are
late August dates. How come?
