can't send e-mail - mysterious message

Post by m2w4 » Sun, 04 Apr 2004 00:26:43

I have Eudora 5.2.1 on my Windows XP computer. Recently every time I
type an e-mail and click Send, a message on the bottom of the screen
comes up stating "Can't send e-mail. The server gives this reason: 550
5.7.1 Relaying denied. IP name possibly forged". I don't have the
slightest idea what this message means. I never had this trouble until
this morning. Can anyone help? Thank you very much.

If no settings have been changed then it's probably an ISP problem.
Did you check the status page for your ISP to see if there is a
problem that they know about?

Or are you connected to the internet through a different ISP than the
one you have in the STMP settings?
