Hi S. Bouchard:

Try this syntax for Excel 2002 (XP):

oexcel.ActiveSheet.saveAs(ToFileName,-4143)

I hope this helps.

Thanks for helping me in this topic but i'm soory to
say that it did'nt make it!
It seems that the fox pro compiler does'nt recognize the
excell xp saveas command with it's parameters and thus
generating an unknown COM error!
In anyway, i have already tried this conmmand line
before posting and so far, it did not worked properly and
nobody seems to know the answer also!

Is there a new COM object used by Excell XP?
Like a friend of mine used to say: VERY INTRIGUING!
Let me know if you find anything else on that topic...
Thanks in advance and good try!

The following code worked perfectly well for me using VFP7 SP1 and Office
2003:

ToFileName = "C:\MyWorkbook.xls"
oExcel = CREATEOBJECT("Excel.Application")
oExcel.Workbooks.Add()
oExcel.ActiveWorkbook.SaveAs(ToFileName, -4143)
oExcel.Quit
RELEASE oExcel
