Unable to View Mail Folders From Another Directory

Unable to View Mail Folders From Another Directory

Post by Yue Ten » Tue, 24 Oct 2006 09:58:25

Hi all,

I am using Pegasus Mail 4.41 win Win XP Pro SP2. I have problems trying
to use the "Folders -> Add mailbox to list" option to add mailboxes
from another directory to my mailbox list. When I try to do this I can
see some but not all of the mail folders from that directory. However,
if I create a new user with a new mailbox and copy all the .PMM and
.PMI files into the new mailbox, and then restart Pegasus mail as the
new user, I am able to view all the mail folders.

What I am doing wrong?

Unable to View Mail Folders From Another Directory

In comp.mail.pegasus-mail.ms-windows on 22 Oct 2006 17:58:25 -0700,

Is the directory you add, originally a copy of your own folder
structure? (e.g you copied the folders from the Home mailbox to that
other directory).

If so you run into the problem that the foldernames are not unique.
The loaded folders will be shown in the My Mailbox folder listing
instead.

To overcome there is a program that solves this at:

http://www.yqcomputer.com/ called MRestArch

in addition to Han's question: do you have a PAIN.PMT file in your
mail directory?
