Cannot save any attachment - Brand new problem

This is strange. As of tonight I cannot save any kind of attachment.
It makes no difference in which folder the message is located.

When I attempt to save the attachment, Pegasus locks up and become
non-responding. I need to quit the application from the Windows Task
Manager window.

I did a Google search and also looked through my saved postings on
this newsgroup but could not find any reference to a problem like
this.

I have just run Adaware, Spybot, and Norton Anti-virus with clean
results from all.

Anyone have an idea?

Some basic details about your configuration are necessary:

1. are your mail folders stored on your local hard disk or on a network file
server volume?

2. are you accessing your mail folders via IMAP or are they 'normal' Pegasus
Mail mail folders?

3. what version of windows are you using?

4. are you attempting to save the file to a local hard disk? to a network
file server? to a Windows networking share?

5. if you're on a LAN, what network operating system are you running? What
version of the network drivers are you using?

6. is this happening with atttachments from any sender? attachments from
just one sender? What mail client(s) are the sender(s) using?

7. how are the attachments encoded? MIME base64? quoted-printable?
uuencoded? binhex?
