Selecting multiple attachments

Selecting multiple attachments

Post by lesjub » Mon, 20 Feb 2006 06:23:59

I'm using version 4.31 - and often have to mail several attachments
which need to be chosen from folders with a large amount of files
therein.

It seems that there is no capability for the normal Windows function
of holding the {Ctrl} key down to select multiple files.

Am I missing something obvious here or or this just a wishlist item.?
Any other way to maybe select multiples without haping to reload and
pick from the list for each file.?

thanks, as always in anticipation.....

I don't know whether this has anything to do with it, but I thought
I'd mention it, just in case.

I quote from a previous post:

"General settings | Advanced settings | Allow multiple file
selection when adding attachments

"Read the Help entry about this setting."

Usually I don't bother with the pmail fileselector,
but just drag and drop multiple selected files
from the explorer directory window or the explorer search window
into the pmail attachment window.

[Those often used directories are selected from a special start subfolder]

Excellent. Thank you so much.!

Worked with this version since Beta days and just never saw that
option.

Wonder why they didn't let this install as "on" in default mode.

Thanks for the reply

Thanks. Just forget sometimes that some Windows standards actually do
work. This woulda saved me hours of extra grind if I'd tried it
before finding the switch.!
