WTF? Reimbur *** t for a free service?

Is that "Hadron" being a freetard again?

I'd love to see his tax report. Probably deducts his
time spent in COLA as "Business expenses".

Still more confabulation from our resident wackjob.

"Hadron" should lay off the Sterno.

Another Quack bald-faced lie. Documented.

Why do you lie so much, "Hadron"?

(Cue Larry's threat to produce links that prove his accusation.)

I can't even recall Wave even being discussed, except maybe in
passing...

According to this article, Google Wave was too complicated for Average
Joe Sixpack:

[quote]

The first one was the searching of Waves. If Google Wave was meant to
appeal to a mainstream audience the asual/averageuser had to get
their head around how to search for Waves that contained items of
interest. Todays asualuser, wants everything on a plate and they
want it yesterday, if it not immediate they move on.

The second problem for Wave was the explosion of Twitter which I don
think Google would have predicted. Although Twitter could be said to be
a different type of product, Twitter offers far more immediacy in terms
of learning curve which mainstream users who have no interest in
exploring new techs are lapping it up.

Google Wave appeared to require far too much of an investment of time to
appeal to the witter generationand my e *** ment for Google
product initially didn consider that.

Hi Marty!

It really beggared belief that Wave would not have a simple "one click"
search as its early features. When I was beta testing Wave, I remember
showing it to a few people, telling them how great it was, only to see
how they had difficulty getting their heads around the most simple of
concepts (search)

It was also (I think) unfortunate timing that when Wave was trying to
get accepted, Twitter was experiencing a explosion.

Hi Tim ;-)

Indeed, you made the latter clear as well in your latest post. And I
agree that the combination of issues led to the discontinuing of Google
Wave.

I used it a couple of times but didn't find it as revolutionary as
expected. In fact I do all these things with aMSN, Skype and Gwibber.

You created your own reality.

No, I'd agree its not...problem is Hadron, in between your bickering and
vulgar posts I find it hard to see when you have.

How about an unlinked claim?

or how about you answer here what you think you have achieved in all the
years of posting on COLA?

Putting aside views on the COLA regular and users of FOSS, they have a
reason to be here it is after all Linux advocacy (rightly or wrongly)
what are you here for and what do you think you have achieved?

Regardless of what you think of my views, Ive expressed my opinions on
topics Im passionate about in a group with people who are also
passionate about the same subjects. We have common grounds. What do
you have?

Its like me going to a Windows NG and posting comments to bicker with
almost every point of view there - its rather a waste of resources. If
people want to champion Windows in their own NG, who am I to stop them?
and Im sure they would be of the same view for COLA.

Why are you different Hadron?
Why don't you do what most adults do and find yourself a group where you
can debate with a majority of like minded people about the topics you
are interested in? Im sure you will find, just like I have here there
is still room for debate even with like minded people because nobody has
an exact same take on subjects.

Please feel free to call me a windbag on whatever name is next on your
list and in all seriousness I hope you never leave COLA. I look forward
to seeing what "cracker" you come out with next.

Kindest regards

Goblin - The Windbag.
