Hello,

we have some problem with our server and I would like to hear some
opinions.

We have 2 different issues:

1.)
We are unable to access the machine via network:

May 24 20:52:12 machine kernel: eth0: Too much work at interrupt,
status=0xaa55.
May 24 20:52:12 machine last message repeated 292 times
May 24 20:52:12 machine kernel: eth0: card reports no RX buffers.
May 24 20:52:12 machine kernel: eth0: card reports no resources.

2.)
The machine just stops responding with any syslog entries.

We had this problem 5 times within one week. But it just starts after our
server changed the computer center. We have no idea what caused this
problem. Even dejanews dont know nothing about status=aa55.

Does any have an idea what suddenly caused this problem?
Or had the same issue?

Thank you for your efforts.

That's probably related to the first problem you describe.

? What do you mean by "our server changed the computer center"? Use
Babelfish if you can't express your idea in English.

If you're using the e100 module, try using the eepro100 module instead,
or vice versa. I'd also try using a 2.4 kernel instead of a 2.2 kernel;
the 2.2 series is almost obsolete and bugfixes/patches from the 2.4 and
2.6 series are probably not getting backported.

Ok. Iam sorry.
I mean "Computing centre"
We switched the company and they took our server to a new place.
Hopefully it is clearer now... ;)

We are already using the eepro100 module.
And changing the kernel is not so easy. It is still the "Debian potato"
ditribution and it is not kernel 2.4 ready like woody. We are planing to
setup a installation with woody or higher, but currently we have to keep
this system running.
