Can someone explain why the 2.5x serial drivers (in 2.4.21-ac4) are
breaking my PCMCICA modem? I'm using it with 2.4.20-8 (Redhat stock)
fine on /dev/ttyS0 with IRQ 3, but 2.4.21-ac4 (I'm assuming
they're backported 2.5/2.6 drivers) insists on assigning it
(although it is seen on /dev/ttyS0) and it will only work very, very
slowly (minicom takes over a minute to return the init string) unless
set to IRQ 0 (which is then also pretty slow).
I'm using a laptop so need the -ac series for the cpufreq patches and
the acpi support.
Any help appreciated
