Bridged Network not working with Fedora Core 3 / Vmware Workstation 5.

Hello,

I'm actually evaluating Vmware 5. I've installed a Fedora Core 3 as
guest OS on my Laptop.

I have several problem to make bridged networking with the Fedora Core
3. As a comparaison, Fedora with NAT work, and no problem at all with
some Microsoft OS as guest OS.

I've tried several possible fix, but nothing seems to work.

Is there any tweak available to make it run with bridged networking ?
The physical interface bridged is a Wireless card (Atheros).

... i own/use VMWARE 5, and previous version, and have
not had an issue with bridged. i'm running VMWARE on
a Gentoo host and *many* distros (and Solaris) as guest
OSes, plus a Win2k guest - all using bridged.

you might want to run the 'vmware-config.pl' script again.

my only reservation to your setup is that you're using
wireless. personally, i wouldnt do that. i would much
rather use a trusted wired NIC.

I will make a test with the embedded ethernet card. Yes, this is
typically possible that the problem come from the Wireless Card.

I will keep you posted.

I've done the test. The Ethernet work perflectly. Only Wifi appears to
create problem.
