SuSE 9.0 graphics problem on laptops

SuSE 9.0 graphics problem on laptops

We have been having a graphics resolution problem with SUSE linux on
our Toshiba laptops. After initial installation, the resolution is
always incorrect and the display is miniscule. Correcting the
resolution config to 1024x768, 1600x1200, or other almost always
results in problems, such as a disappearing mouse cursor and/or an
icon/font size far too small to view with the *** eye. Going
further, adjusting the dimensions to emulate a 15" or 17" monitor (405
x 320 for instance) works until the next log off or reboot, then it's
back to the "drawing board," as it were.
Can anyone help?
Thank you.

You need to be more specific. What Toshiba laptops?
I have no problem with my Toshiba laptop (3000-S504).
