A fully functional Windows 95 emulator that runs right in your browser
has been released; you can see it at:

http://www.yqcomputer.com/

Plans are underway for a Windows 7 emulator but are presently being
hindered by IE6 compatibility issues.

It was a pretty accurate emulation :)

More seriously - I'm pretty sure you could emulate an OS like CP/M
or even an early Unix in a browser and have it run fairly well, perhaps
even faster than the original hardware.

If someone could make websites a joy to use, they'd get my vote. With
many sites I find myself endlessly following links none of which take me
where I want to go. IBM's search facility seems practically guaranteed
to return the results in inverse order of usefulness.

Yes, but windoze isn't an OS, either.
