Hi!

I have several old Word 2000 docs created and saved on my hard drive.
I've since upgraded to Win/Office XP. When I access these files with
Notepad, at the very bottom it says "Win.Document.8" and "Microsoft
Word 9.0"

When I attempt to open any old docs with Word XP, I get the infamous
error message:

"Document name or path is not valid. Try these suggestions:
* Check the file permissions...
* Use the File Open dialog box...

I can open with Notepad, but I get a ton of gibberish before the
content. I'd like to open with at least some formatting. I've tried
everything but nothing works. Does anyone have a solution?
