Looking for registry editor to edit OTHER Windows' registry.

Post by FlyBo » Sun, 07 Dec 2003 01:05:08

I have a multiboot system with 4 OS-installations. 2x Win98SE, Win2K
and WinXP. I now migrated to a new mainboard and the main Win98
installation freezes when booting. All the others have been able to
recognise all the new hardware and install the drivers.

I am looking for a tool to edit the registry of the main W98
installation from the secondary Win98 in order to remove some software
(Norton AV - sigh... etc.) or to disable installed software from
loading when booting or a tool with which I can do this from DOS.

If any registry editors around can do this the feature is not very
well advertised.

Anyone know of such a utility?

Looking forward to your reply.

Not sure whether this might be able to do *something* with it - you may
be able to copy the registry between "versions" and start in safe mode...
