Hello,

Remedy IT is pleased to announce an new release of the Ruby CORBA Language
mapping reference implementation: R2CORBA.
This software is provided as Opensource (for license see:
http://www.yqcomputer.com/ ).

R2CORBA provides a fully RCLM compliant implementation based on the TAO ORB.

New features are:
o IORTabe support
o integrated signal handling
o Added namingserver interfaces (CosNaming) and basic example of an
INS implementation

Fixes/enhancements include:
o IDL compiler improvements (much better preprocessing support)
o Reliable Collocation support

Furthermore this release provides:

o 100% native Ruby IDL compiler
o support for direct IDL inclusion in Ruby code
o support for Ruby CORBA clients
o support for Ruby CORBA servants
o support for Dynamic Skeleton Interface (DSI)
o support for Dynamic Invocation Interface (DII)
o support for IDL enum, struct, sequence and union datatypes
o and more...

The distribution contains several regression tests which also serve as example
code. Currently tested platforms include Windows (MSVC 7.1), Linux (GCC) and
Solaris (GCC and SunCC).

Hello,

We are pleased to announce the first release of the TAO Programmers Guide
(TPG for short). This first release is available for free from our website
at http://www.yqcomputer.com/ as pdf download.

It contains a small set of chapters with starter information and also a few
advanced chapters. The TPG is focused at the DOC group distribution of
ACE/TAO/CIAO which you can obtain from http://www.yqcomputer.com/ .

Based on the user feedback and requests we will extend the TPG on a regular
basis. This extended TPG will be available for a small fee (copy based and
subscription based). A minimal version of the TPG will always be available
for free.
