PROBLEM building scilab3.0 on MacOSX

Post by bmorsin » Fri, 08 Oct 2004 06:47:49

HI to anybody who reads this email!

I have a problem building scilab 3.0 on my Macintosh with MacOSX. I
hope there is somebody who can help me solving this problem.

I downloaded the source code for scilab 3.0
I have gcc and g77 compilers properly installed
I have X11SDK properly installed (X11R6)

Now I type in at the scilab directory:

./configure --without-xaw3d --without-tk
make all

After some time i get the following error:

linking
/usr/bin/ld: warning -L: directory name (/sw/lib) does not exist
/usr/bin/ld: Undefined symbols:
restFP
saveFP
_flushTKEvents
_inittk
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [bin/scilex] Error 1

Is there anybody who understands this error? what did i do wrong? Is
there something that must be installed first before buidling scilab
other that what i did?

thank you in advance!
Bart

Why don't you build scilab *with* Tk ?
