Basically which ever one you want.
For basic "editing," I use the free IrfanView.

I don't see the connection. It is highly recommended that one not use the
image editing capabilities of FrontPage.
My choices for image editing are Paint Shop Pro, Photoshop or Photoshop
Elements 3 and when I have special needs for certain types of graphics I
choose Fireworks.

And ... which image editors are popular with Dreamweaver.

Or, do you mean which .... with FrontPage users?

I use Photoshop for photos, Xara X1 for graphics, IrFanview for batch process, optimizing, renaming, and JAlbum for photoalbum/slideshows.

You would have to ask FrontPage.

Wise guy :-)

Since Microsoft no longer bundles a web graphics editor, I was just
wondering which graphics applications were currently popular with
FrontPage users.

If you still have the FP98 CD or the FP2000 Standalone, then you can still use Image Composer.

Image Editing with Front Page

Hi Al,

The real answer is, it depends on the developer. There's really not much
difference between FrontPage users and, say, Dreamweaver users, in terms of
what tools they use (other than their web dev tools). Professionals who can
afford it generally go with Adobe Photoshop, which is arguably the best.
However, at $600 a pop, it can be more expensive and/or more difficult to
use than cheaper image editing apps.

The cheapest image editing tool is Windows Paint, which now has the ability
to save images as JPGs and GIFs, but has little functionality for things
like optimizing the images, or applying filters. Ulead puts out some nice
inexpensive imaging tools. Last I checked they were under $100.00.

And there are many others as well falling in between.

Thanks Kevin. I suspected that. I suppose that most FP users into CSS
use TopStyle or another code editor that supports CSS syntax
highlighting - the built-in editor looks like it was borrowed from Word
:-)

Eleanor -

How do you like PSE3? I use PSE2 - is it worth considering the purchase?
