Sun Ray: Compatibility with non-ray Client

Sun Ray: Compatibility with non-ray Client

Post by Stefan Ste » Sat, 01 Apr 2006 22:22:54

Hi,

i interested in setting up a sun ray network. I have the software
and a machine with enough power, but no ray client - And that is the
Problem. Ray Clients are rare in germany, so if sold on ebay, they are
expensive. Other thin clients can be obtained much cheaper (for
example, Axus, Igel, HP, etc.). Are these clients also able to boot via
SunRay or is SunRay using a special protocol, which is only implemented
in SunRay Clients?

regards Stefan

Hi,

Yes.

I would suggest that you buy more than one from US, then the shipping is
not so tuff to justify.

Maybe you can find some friends so share it with ;)
