xterm function keys

Post by andrewmcca » Tue, 17 Aug 2004 14:52:06

To all who have a clue

I would like to hack xterm to provide different function key mappings.

so far I have altered the decfuncvalue function in input.c so that F10
reflects '\033[25~', and would now like to alter F5 to send '\033[M'.

The problem I am having is that I cannot work out how to send 'M', and
am convinced that I am using the wrong function in input.c.

Any suggestions on solutions, or better places to ask this question
are greatly appreciated.

Andrew

hmm - why?

The translations resource is usually used for this purpose.
(see xterm's manpage)

I figured why use translations if I can alter the behaviour at the
source. Anyway I decided to just go with the translations.

Thanks
