hi,all!
is there anyone have the experience about changing the raid level from
raid 0 to raid 5 on FastT700.
i only read some fastT stotage manager help documetation about it.
i would like to know the detail, time elapsed, performace(production
mechine),emergency(changing failure) and so on.
OS - AIX 5.1
Disk capacity - more than 300G
DB - Oracle8.1.7.4

1. RAID for backup. RAID 5 or RAID 1?

2. RAID Setup (RAID 1 with RAID 10)

Would a RAID 1 OS array & a separate RAID 10 array for the SQL database
files a valid setup? Or can this be improved?

Was thinking of making it more simplistic. One array for the OS, & a
faster DATA array for SQL.

Swap file would be located on RAID 1, will have 2GB of RAM in server.
SQL transation logs to be residing on RAID 10

3. RAID 5 versus RAID 1+0

4. RAID 1 OR RAID 5 - YOUR OPINION

5. Raid to Non-Raid?

6. Vista Ultimate Raid to Non-Raid

7. Vista x64 dual boot WinXP with RAID-5 ICH8R messes up RAID array

8. RAID 5 corruption, RAID 1 more stable?

9. RAID 1 o RAID 5

10. Throughput of External Hardware RAID Versus Direct Attached Software RAID

11. Raid or no Raid

12. RAID 0 or RAID 1 - Meetings.jpg (1/1)

13. RAID 1/0 or RAID 5?

14. Exchange Setup - Raid 0 or Raid 5 for best performance

15. RAID 5 beats RAID 10
